My name is Nerius. In serious world I do Ph.D. in Aalborg University. My professional interests are databases (mainly Oracle and MySQL), GPS positioning and Intelligent Transportation Systems such as Intelligent Speed Adaptation. When chilled, I do sail, windsurf, travel, enjoy taking pictures, ride bicycle, jog and hang out with friends

I need to express myself somehow. Everybody has highs and lows and nobody want to be alone, feel free to comment. English is not my mother tongue, so please excuse me for mistakes and typos.
As others say, “I am a lucky bastard” to have a chance to travel so much. I will do my best to keep the travel stories updated so I can share the excitement and fun of travel with you. Some of the first entries are in Lithuanian, while the rest is aimed for English.
I like to take pictures. Especially when traveling or in new places. Most of pictures are from my trips to foreign countries or from extraordinary day life. Pictures from parties will seldom appear here.
Photoblog
This is my “photoblog” or in other words my creativity engine. The purpose of this photoblog is to improve in photography. I hope that I can post often, but don’t expect the photoblog to be updated daily.
None of the pictures in this photoblog has been manipulated in regards to elements added or moved/removed. Lots of photos get only simple adjustments as being cropped, improved colors or contrast enhanced.

Photo equipment
The most recent purchase was a superb Fujifilm Finepix S5 Pro camera. Its bit slow, but colors it produces are awesome. I simply fell in love with it.
I have a Fujifilm S5 Pro camera with Tamron AF 17-50mm F/2.8 XR Di-II LD SP ZL Aspherical (IF) lens. I also have a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 AF lens. All lenses are with UV(0) filters for lens protection from harsh outside world. I also have a Nikon SB-800 flash and Velbon “Sherpa” tripod.
